Sponsorship

child poverty BCThe Free Distribution Sponsorship Program was created to support the goal of delivering thousands of copies of A is for Aboriginal to schools, Aboriginal and Native communities as well as organizations supporting children living in poverty across Canada and the United States. A sponsor can either choose a community partner to distribute their free copies or distribute the books themselves.

Why? Over 20% of BC children live in poverty.  While that is startling what is even more so is that over 50% of Aboriginal children in Canada live in poverty and 80% of urban Aboriginal children living in Metro Vancouver share the same fate. In the United States 36.8%  of Native American children live in poverty. These children/families rarely have the luxury of owning a new, full colour, illustrated book of their own.

We invite companies, organizations and individuals to choose from one of the distribution options below.

Thank you for supporting this free distribution.
